Inspiration

The Danish Ergonomist, Mrs Henriette Bøgebjerg, and the specialist medical doctor, Mrs Vibeke Kassis worked together with engineer Mr Bartil Medborg and HAG to develop and manufacture the HAG Quickstep.

An ergonomic chair is a chair that naturally follows you as you move to the next sitting position. It must obey the minor and major movements of the body and be at rest when the body requires it. When the chair follows the body it means you can concentrate on your work, at the same time as the body gets the appropriate nourishment for the active muscles. You are moving your entire body without being aware of it.

HAG is registered as an environmentally aware business under the EU EMAS regulations (Eco Management and Audit Scheme), and as such, we are committed to frequent reporting and checking of very stringent environmental requirements. We also operate environmental management systems in compliance with NS-ISO 14001.

Inspiration

Peter Opsvik has designed HAG StepUp, which gives you two extra levels to move your feet over when you are sitting down. Peter Opsvik and his colleagues have worked with HAG since 1974, and they have been instrumental in helping develop the principles that HAG bases its business on today.

Product Warranties

HAG guarantees products against all defects and manufacturing faults for a period of 10 years from date of production. This guarantee includes fabrics and leather. The guarantee does not include any deterioration from "fair, wear & tear".

Lifetime guarantee on gas lifts. HAG guarantee availability of spare parts for a minimum of 10 years after the chair's manufacturing date.

HAG Total Colour

HAG Total Colour is the sum total of fabrics, hides and constructional materials offered by HAG. HTC standard is a selection suitable for various needs, with short delivery times and reasonable prices. HTC Partners is a large assortment of special fabrics. We offer a 5-10 year guarantee on all HTC coverings.

Xtreme Maintenance

Xtreme should be treated as a directional fabric due to the light reflecting properties of polyester in a crepe weave construction. Care should be taken on application to establish shade variation in accordance with direction.

Boss Fabric

Composition: 90% Wool, 10% Nylon
Flammability: ISO 8192 1&2, EN 1021 (1&2)

Comfort Fabric

Composition: 88% Polyester, 12% Polyurethane
Flammability: EN 1021 - 1 (can be fireproof treated to pass other tests)

Elmosoft Maintenance

Use a clean white cloth or sponge wrung out in lukewarm boiled water

To be vacuumed with a furniture brush or use a clean white damp cloth or sponge (wrung out in lukewarm, distilled water)

All Hag Total Colour Standard Fabrics and leather upholstery and components are guaranteed for 10 years against material defect and manufacturing faults, subject to 9 hour usage and normal wear-and-tear.
