THIS IS WHAT WE DO.

Throughout the entire value chain - from idea via development to finished product - focus on environmental friendliness is a priority in HAG. The goal is to minimise the number of materials in use and the energy consumption while simultaneously optimising the chairs' functionality.

All usage of materials and energy is carefully evaluated and measured against strict environmental criteria. Recycled steel, aluminium and plastic are employed where possible without compromising the products' quality or aesthetic expression. An example in practice is that in 2006 HAG changed the colour on our black plastic components from 'ultra dark' to regular black in order to increase the percentage of recyclable plastic components in use. Another is that all foam employed in our chairs is free from Freon gas.

THIS MEANS.

• HAG use materials and chemicals that have no negative impact on our health nor the environment
• Use of materials such as chrome and PVC are strictly prohibited in both the development and production of our chairs
• We have made a conscious choice to promote environmentally friendly production and to provide our users with healthy and safe products

An example: in HAG H03 320 50% of the production raw materials are recycled while as much as 99% of the total chair is recyclable after ended life span.
